Mercury Bay Area School
To explore Sports Academy models and their link to NCEA qualifications to develop and implement a method of integrating sport with academic achievement.
Elim Christian College
To investigate a programme to increase support for new students by evaluating welcome plans and subsequent level of integration at their schools; and then formulate a plan of action to implement this knowledge.
Collingwood Area School
To develop "future focused" teaching methods to encourage student learning by investigating and using internet systems that encourage accessibility and the sharing of resources.

To investigate effective practices in raising Māori achievement within primary and secondary schools in Taranaki, in particular how schools establish relationships with home and school and how this is evidenced to show outcomes of Māori achievement.
Rai Valley Area School
To investigate how area schools provide relevant and effective transition strategies from primary to secondary departments, including the transition from contributing schools to area schools. This involves exploring the benefits of home room teaching of core curriculum areas in comparison to Year 9 students moving from class to class and teacher to teacher.
