Secondary and Area Principals can apply for a reimbursement of costs clearly associated with their sabbatical to a maximum of $5,000 (if there are any amendments or changes to your costings please contact us to explain). This must have been advised in their applications with rough costings that the panel determine are 'actual' and 'reasonable'.
Payments are made 90% upon sending in receipts for sabbatical costs, and then 10% when the sabbatical report has been sent in. 100% can be paid out in one payment if receipts and the report are received together.
Please ensure that receipts clearly show the items, prices and dates paid. Scanned copies of original receipts will be accepted (in most cases).

You should receive payment within four to six weeks of TeachNZ receiving a complete application.
